The 48-hour quote: how we scope a project without a single call
If we can't scope your project from a well-written brief, you don't want us building it.
What we need from you
Three things:
- What are you building? (One paragraph is fine.)
- Who uses it? (Even rougher.)
- What's your rough budget range?
That's it. No tech stack debates. No feature matrix. No 14-page RFP.
What happens on our end
We read your brief. We spend two to three hours as a team pulling it apart — what's load-bearing, what's fluff, what's the riskiest assumption. Then we draft three scopes at three price points.
By hour 48, you have:
- A written project brief, in our words (so you know we understood)
- Three scope options with fixed prices
- A proposed 4–8 week timeline
- Our honest opinion on what to cut
No call required. No sales pitch. If you like it, we schedule a kickoff. If not, you've got a solid brief you can shop around.
Why we do it this way
Sales calls are a tax on founders. You've already had fifteen. You know what you want — you just need someone to quote it, ship it, and not waste your time.
Writing a real brief is work. Reading one carefully is work. But it's honest work, done once, instead of the theatre of 'discovery' strung out over two weeks.
We've done this 60+ times. Our close rate on written quotes is higher than when we were doing calls. Turns out when you respect founders' time, they notice.
Have a project in mind?
Let's turn it into something real.
Send us a brief. We'll come back with a fixed quote and an 8-week plan within 48 hours.
